Thank you so much for being so helpful and welcoming! Having The Engine Room at my doorstep made this trip perfect! It allowed me to eat all the sausages and brown bread that was put in front of me without the guilt! At The Engine Room I’ve attended a huge variety of classes from circuits to bootcamp to spinning. Since starting Triathlons recently I’ve added Pilates classes in too which have proved essential for flexibility, injury prevention and stress management. The Engine Room provides a place for like minded individuals to meet, train and get happy. Not being from Portumna originally I’ve made some firm friends there, Sarah and Steve have built an excellent team with a huge range of expertise from kettlebells to ballet, yoga, pilates and zumba. Rachel the Pilates instructor has provided me with many triathlete-tailored strengthening exercises and David the therapist has kept me on the road with his iron hands providing injury prevention.

You could never walk out of The Engine Room in bad form! Highly recommend to try a class to everyone. We are lucky to have this facility in Portumna.

I would highly recommend personal training. I needed that extra push and had a specific  goal in mind. Steve tailored the sessions to achieve my goal. Steve is very knowledgeable giving advice on lifestyle and diet, helping me stay focused , motivated and see results.

Pilates at The Engine Room with Rachel is the perfect complement to any exercise program, improving posture core and flexibility.Rachel is an excellent instructor, challenging us and attentive to individual needs.

Before the engine room, we never heard of kettlebells now we love it, for its many benefits, getting fit, strong and losing inches.It's easy to learn and with Steve as our experienced instructor the class is both enjoyable and challenging .

I first went into the Engine Room in February 2013. I had not taken any physical exercise in 10 years so was out of shape and lacking in self esteem. 

I met Steve and he introduced me to the circuits and gradually worked me up to the tempo of the other partakers. Honestly he and Sarah take an genuine interest in your goals and with small classes personal interaction is the standards second to none.

With a wide variety of classes reasonably  there is a something  to suit everyone  from young to old full time fitness to part time it's all there. 

Steve and Sarah run a fantastic business which has genuinely changed my life physically and mentally.  

Steve is the man you leave nothing behind he makes sure of it.

Well what can I say...only that I love ‘The Engine Room’. I love circuit training classes. Steve motivates you and encourages you to move to the next level. Classes are great fun and I have met some lovely people. I feel I have toned up, lost weight and I have more energy. It has definitely increased my fitness levels and you get a complete body workout. I look forward to my circuit classes and no matter how stressed I am when I start the class I know it will be all forgotten by the end. A real stress buster.
